The People's Operator is a cause-based commercial mobile virtual network operator with a strategy of acquiring customers through viral networking and online communities. Their proposition is focused upon giving a percentage of your monthly mobile spend to your preferred charity and they have recently floated on the AIM stock exchange following announcement of their global expansion plans backed by Wikipedia entrepreneur Jimmy Wales.
The Business Challenge
Following their recent floatation The Peoples Operator needed to expand their acquisition and retention marketing capabiltity rapidly. They needed experienced telecoms direct marketing specialists to assist in building their BTL strategy and delivering it operationally.
The Solution
Graystone Strategy were able to supply a consultant with over 10 years of of telcoms direct marketing experience at very short notice to allow The Peoples Operator to continue their growth.
This interim resource worked closely with the team at The People’s Operator to develop and deliver their direct marketing acquistion plans.
Whilst the interim resource was in place Graystone Strategy were engaged to find a permanent replacement.
Outcomes
Graystone were able to locate and screen suitable applicants for the role and following a successful interview with The Peoples Operator a permanent resource was securred.
The Graystone consultant worked closely with the new employee to hand over and train them before concluding the project.
